Racha - Lechkhumi

Day 1 - Tbilisi - Arrival Day

Upon arrival in Tbilisi you will be met by our representative and will be taken to  your hotel room. After a short break, we will start our tour from Tbilisi.

  • The 4th century Narikala Fortress - An ancient citadel overlooking the capital and the Mtkvari river.
  • Metekhi Church (13th c.) The historical  heart of the city, Metekhi is a must-see for any visitor of Tbilisi. King Vakhtang Gorgasali erected the first church here in the 5 th century.
  • Sioni - the cathedral of the 6th-7th cc; It is situated on historic Sioni street,in downtown Tbilisi.
  • Sulphur baths - a favorite place of Tbilisi citizens and foreign guests.
  • Sameba Cathedral -The main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
  • National  Museum - With numerous objects, the Georgian National Museum presents the wide scope of Georgian culture from all around the country.

Day 2 - Tbilisi-Oni
After breakfast we will travel to Oni  and will visit:

  • Shaori - Shaori lake, rich in flora, rivers, waterfalls, deep forests and healing springs. Due to its unique climate, Shaori is an excellent resort, with its fresh air and a pristine lake.
  • Barakoni - Barakoni Church of the Virgin is located in the village of Tsesi
  • Nikorsminda Church - Nikortsminda Church is located in the village of Nikortsminda. With its impressive decorations, there is nothing else like it in Georgia. The temple, built in the name of St.Nicholas the Miracle-Worker, contains many examples of old Georgian script and the interior walls of the temple are painted with frescoes dating back to the 16-17th centuries.
  • Oni Synagogue - The Oni Synagogue was built in the 1880s by a Polish architect and the builders were Greek Jews from Thessaloniki.
  • Oni Local Museum - This beautiful museum houses several collections of artifacts found locally. They range from the Stone Age through the Middle Ages including architectural details and relief fragments from St.George and Holly Trinity churches dating back to the 10th century. Coins  from the 5th century as well as the remains of ancient settlements give a fascinating insight of the cultural life in ancient Georgia.

Overnight in Oni.

Day 3 - Utsera, Shovi
After breakfast we will visit:

  • Utsera - Resort Utsera Located 1,050 metres above sea level  is known for its mineral water, health resort and spa. The village boasts a fine collection of medieval churches, but its 800-year-old alley of trees is especially worth a visit.
  • Shovi - Shovi is also an important health resort. Visitors enjoy its mountain climate, nature and mineral waters. The resort is located at the base of the Mamisoni Mountain range and is surrounded by snowy mountains.

Return to Tbilisi - End of the Tour

Our guide will be at your service till 8 p.m.

This is the end of the tour. Regarding your flight departure time, we will arrange your transfer to airport for your international flight back home.
